As some of you will already be aware, we featured in the latest issue of The Railway Magazine on page 100.
It has been a busy week creating and reviewing required documentation to enable this "Historic Vehicle" to hopefully one day access the national rail network.
Consultations with other "Historic" Locomotive Owners and operators has been ongoing also.
News regarding ex BR class 58, is in the making and rest assured this is where you will hear the news first!
We have also been informed that the EM2LS are awaiting a suitable and sufficient offer from the IDRS for their spare bogies and take full ownership.
Further negations will take place to ensure the EM2LS do not want to retain any spares from these bogies (ex 27004 Juno) before items not required are removed and disposed of. We also owe it to our member to get the best possible deal we can.
We have nominated this project to receive a "cash" donation of up to a £1000 from UK Rail Forums, this will no doubt be useful for assisting with the purchase of a chassis. Voting starts on Monday 7th December and ends on Sunday 13th December so if you are eligible to vote and are a member of this website then please give us your vote!
With the pace of things as they are at the minute and the likely expenditure to come in 2016, we are seeking assistance with the utilization of "Crowd funding". If you can assist us with this, or have any good ideas to lift this project high into public view then please get in touch.
